Air Cleaner 18" Cover

Back in the early 1950's Stelling and Helling produced an air cleaner cover very similar to this one but three inches shorter.  The problem is that later motors like the J-2 Olds, GTO and 409 Chevy tri-power carbs were too far apart to fit under the old cover. O'Brien Truckers has modified both the air cleaner cover and the adapter plate that comes inside this cover so that once you buy it you can use it with one or two 4 BBL carbs or two, or three or even four 1 BBL's or 2 BBL's that are farther apart than those that would fit under a 15" cover. Some guys also think that the 18" cover more aesthetically fills their engine compartment. This makes it an O'Brien Truckers original creation based on the 1950's tradition.  Being a universal cover, we sell cotton gauze washable lifetime elements and cast aluminum bases for one, two and four barrel carbs to give you a complete traditional setup just the way they did it in the '50's. This 18" air cleaner cover comes complete with an adapter plate, two neoprene / stainless steel washers and two stainless steel button head bolts ready to cover the elements and bases of your choice. This cover measures 18 3/8" L x 7 1/8" W x 3 1/4" T with 1 3/4" element or 4 1/4" T with 2 1/2" element.
