This 9" Air Cleaner is patterned after an air cleaner made by Stelling and Helling back in the early 1950's. The ones they sold then were made for multiple carb setups so we shortened it to come up with an O'Brien Truckers original made to fit on a single carburetor. To complete the picture, we have designed 5 different cast aluminum bases so that it can fit on a 1 BBL with a 2 5/16" neck, a 2 BBL with either 2 5/8" or 3 1/8" neck or a 4 BBL with either a 4 7/32" or 5 1/8" neck. The air cleaner comes complete with cotton gauze washable lifetime element and cast aluminum base. 8 7/8" L x 7" W x 3 3/4" Tall overall with 2 1/2" tall element.
There is a post cast on the middle of the lid that is drilled and tapped to accept your ¼-20 rod coming out of your carb. No hole on top means no place for the water to puddle and drip into the carb. And the 9” element acts like a huge rubber lock washer to keep the cover on tight and oriented once you tighten it.
